SUN 10-30-16 UPDATE

Fishing was much better today then it was yesterday. While we still had to compete with boat traffic, we found a patch of fish that would cooperate for most of the morning. We slugged away catching a good amount of keepers mixed in with the slot fish. Fishing slowed down as the afternoon progressed. We are looking for the fishing to improve as weekend boat traffic diminishes. Check out some of todays catch in the photo section of George with a nice 20 lb bass, Pat with a 10 lb fish, Jim with a nice slot fish, N. Plainfield Johnny with a keeper bass and a monster blue, and Spencer, Jack & John with 3 nice keeper bass. Take notice most are wearing short sleeves as it was a beautiful summerlike day on the water, what a pleasant surprise. Jake and I will be at the dock ready for the day's adventure, join us!

Light rod and spinning reel is best as you need to be able to cast. If you don't have your bonus tag, no worries, we have them on the boat

10/28/16-STRIPERS KEEP ON COMING

Another great day of action and good fishing with the action beginning with Mike's 37.5" 18 lb. bass on the 1st drop of the day. Limits all around including slot fish, many big fish went back once limits were reached.  Check the photos for Mike's fish as well as Matt Mc. 25 lb, Oliver a 20 lb. bass,  Polo & Chris each a 18 lb. bass and Matt with a 16 lb. fish. Tim released a beauty between 25-30 lb (released without weighing). It has been cold on the water the last 2 days, so get out your cold weather gear and dress in layers. The fishing is great, don't know how long it will last, so get here so you don't miss out.

TUES 10/25/16 STRIPERS

Harbor light this morning, but made it out with a handful of anglers, took a bit of a ride and caught some small albacore. Had a hunch from veiled reports and found the stripers and it was "fish on"! It didn't take long to limit out and put some bonus fish in the boat as well. If you did not get your bonus tags, "no worries" we have them on the boat.

THURS 10/27/16 STRIPER ATTACK!!

STRIPERS, STRIPERS AND MORE STRIPERS, WHAT FANTASTIC FISHING TODAY!!! Went out today with a handful + of anglers on a chilly, rainy and breezy morning and all aboard were in on the "Best striper fishing this year"!  We had our limit of slots and 28-43" fish before 11 am and then it was catch and release with so many big bass going back to the sea. Check out the pictures in Catch of the Week, October to see today's catch, it was terrific. On another note, the regulations are 1 fish 28-43" & 1 over 43" and with a bonus tag 1 slot fish between 24-28".

OCT 22, 2016 UPDATE

SAILING DAILY, CONDITIONS PERMITTING,  7:30 AM-2:30 PM

On Monday 10/17, we changed over to Striped Bass and our regular schedule 7:30 am-2:30 pm. We only fished on Mon, Tue and Fri. of this week, not making it on the 2 most beautiful days of the month, due to lack of angler participation..  I am second guessing my decision to switch over as there is a good possibility I made a hasty decision. Those many anglers who asked "when will you start striper fishing"  were "no shows" when we made the switch. Both Monday and Tues saw horrible fishing, however, Friday by comparison  was pretty good, boating 2 keepers, 5 bonus fish and action on shorts, but there were only 6 anglers aboard. We are doing a lot of searching and even when we fid the stripers, they are not biting. There are a couple of new pictures in the gallery of Lou and Keith each with a nice bass and Kevin H. with 2 bass. Check back or visit our FB page for the latest updates. Oh, we did not try to sail this morning due to the weather conditions and I think the fleet is at the dock. I will take a wait and see attitude for Sunday.
