APRIL 17, 2015
Today was a picture perfect day for boating, summerlike temperatures, clear blue skies with bright sunshine and flat calm seas.
A slow start to the day, made a move and the action began. Plenty of shorts for the "light crowd" with everyone in on the action. Ended the day with 2 keepers, the biggest weighed in at 13.5 lbs, but the guy was not in the pool, which was taken by Pat Rascona.
We will be at the dock in the morning, so climb aboard.

FRIDAY - The first striper trip of the 2015 spring season was off to a decent start. Ricky Morse reeled in the 1st bass of the season, but Billy Baroo got the 1st keeper and pool fish. There was a bit of action on the shorts and all aboard reeled in at least 1. There was plenty of bait in the water and a lot of birds, so I feel the bass are here. Tomorrow's forecast is fantastic, so grab your gear and pack your lunch and climb aboard. IT'S TIME TO GO FISHING!
Today's pictures should be up soon
2014 regulations are still in effect.
FIRST STRIPER TRIP-FRI, APRIL 17
I am sure many of you have heard about the NJ marine recreational proposed striped bass regulations for 2015 and probably are as confused as I was. So I called the NJ Dept of Fish and Wildlife for clarification of the proposed 2015 regulation. As of this post, we are still under the 2014 regulations ( 2 fish bag limit, 28" size) and all anglers can purchase a Bonus Tag on line for $2 which will allow them to catch an additional "bonus fish". The 2015 regulation, which is currently at Gov. Christie's office waiting for his signature, as I understand it, is the following 2 fish bag limit 1 fish between 28' and less than 43' and 1 fish over 43". As of Sept 1 - Dec 31, 2015, the Bonus Tag program will kick in and it will allow you an additional bonus fish between 24" and 28' when you purchase the bonus tag. As to when the Governor will sign the regulation, no one knows, but once it is signed the 2015 regulations will become effective. So, depending on the date the 2015 regulation goes into effect, we will decide to sail 3/4 day or a new schedule. By Thursday 4/16, we will post our schedule, so please check the website or give us a call for an update.
We appreciate your fishing with us and hope to welcome you aboard this weekend.
