SATURDAY 8/8 UPDATE

Just as I posted we had a slowdown in the fishing, this morning we were back into good catching. On 1 drift we landed more than 20 keepers. Tom (Team Tom and Sue) had 4 keepers, Mike also had 4 keepers, another Mike had 2 keepers, Kayla B. almost had the pool but was beat out by Brian H. Pool fish around 7 lbs. It was a good morning to be out on the water. The afternoon was not as good as the morning trip ,but that is how fishing is. Tomorrow is another day and each trip is a new adventure.

SAT, SUN, MON & TUES UPDATE

Saturday was ok both trips, plenty of short action and several keepers boated. Pool fish on both trips between 5 - 7.5 lbs. Sunday morning was good fishing and even better catching. We had an almost full boat and better than 30 keepers landed and enough short action to keep anglers interested. The afternoon slowed once again, but did pick up towards the end of the trip. Monday's morning trip, though not considered a good one, still produced some nice quality keeper fluke and was far better than the afternoon trip. This morning's trip was a good one with a lot of quality keepers between 3-7 lbs. I sailed this afternoon with a handful of anglers, but after a bit of a slow start, the fish started to bite and they had a good afternoon. Tom had w keepers including the 7 lb pool fish. The past 5 days, we have seen some good catching with a lot of quality fluke, so maybe they have finally arrived. Grab your gear and let's go fishing !!!!

UPDATE FRI 8/7

After some very good catching and fishing for more than a week,  things slowed down. We are still getting some quality fish, pool fish up to 7 lbs, and there is plenty of short action to keep anglers interested, but the quantity is not there. I always say, every trip is a new adventure and you never know from minute to minute.  Some notable catches and pool winners were Bob, Tom. and 11 year old Braden.

Weekend Beach forecast is for strong rip currents, so sounds like the best time to go fishing. Come on down and enjoy the cool ocean breezes and maybe catch your dinner.
