SATURDAY:  Sailed open boat this morning, don't ask as I am still fuming, with a small group of anglers. Had good fishing on the 1st drift with Bill Fisher aka Billfish hauling in a hefty 8.5 lb fluke. Not long after that, Victor Ranawat brought his 5.8 lb fluke onto the deck. Thought we were in for some red hot fishing, but things slowed down for the rest of the morning with a few more keepers and some short action. It was a nice day, a bit chilly, but no rain, calm seas and decent fishing, a day even a of NY novice would have enjoyed.  The afternoon we had a charter with Firstrade Securities of NY and 41 of the 50 anglers showed up ready to go fishing, not hampered by the forecast of rain or wind. We had a decent afternoon until the wind picked up in late afternoon and conditions were less than favorable, but we managed a few keepers and a bit of sashimi for those aboard.

FRIDAY, JUNE 26 UPDATE

Beautiful day on the water today, sailed with a small group of anglers on the morning trip and had short action as well as a few keepers.

This afternoon was a private charter for  DSM Food Group for their 3rd annual fishing outing aboard the Dorothy B. A good time was had by all  and Joe was king with the biggest fluke of the trip. Hope to see you folks again next year.

Weather looks fine for tomorrow, so come on down as we will be at the dock and ready to go fishing. Join us on the days adventure.

MONDAY:  Lovely weather and good fishing today, and it did feel like the first day of summer. Tons of shorts for action and plenty of keeper fluke up to 6 lbs today. The afternoon trip saw many more keepers than the morning as well as non stop action. Adrian, it was good to see you this morning, Jake and I have been thinking about you lately.

Adrian took the morning pool and Bill had the afternoon pool.

Last few 1/2 day trips have been pretty much the same with decent short action and some nice keepers. Pool fish between 4-6 lbs each trip.

Fluke-thon had beautiful weather and a good group of anglers, but was not as productive as I wanted it to be. We spent a lot of time and hit many spots, but there was not "over the top" fishing, Mike had the pool winner.  Thanks to all who shared the day with Jake, Jeremy and me.

We had a decent weekend in spite of the weather and forecasts, no turn-away-crowds, especially for today, Dads Day.  Anglers aboard the past few trips have seen good short action, many fish just under 18', and some larger fish 5 - 7 lbs.  Saturday's morning pool fish caught by Sean weighed in at 7 lbs, and George had the afternoon at just under 6 lbs.  Rich had a nice big fluke for this afternoon's pool.

Sailing every day 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM  AND  1:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Fish aboard the Dorothy B. where you get more individual fishing space, most
