SAT APRIL 21 REPORT

It has been a long winter layup and it felt super good to be back out fishing again. As the reports have been so mixed over the past week, I didn't know what to expect, so I took a "I'll give it my best shot and see what happens" approach. The morning started with a bang with plenty of short action and Katherine, Ralph's daughter, getting the 1st keeper striper of our 2018 season. Not long after, Sam and Hayati landed their keepers as the short action continued. As the morning continued, Pat got a 16" fat flounder, but is outdone by Tom's 18.5" flounder, hey what's up, we are striped bass fishing! Kevin was playing catch and release with the bass, but it was not his day for a keeper. Pat had his flounder and finally by the day's end got his keeper. Fishing wise, it was a decent start to our opening day, but people, comradery and all out fun, it was a great day! So good to see all those familiar friendly smiling faces out for a good day. This is what I enjoy most about being a head boat captain. So THANK YOU  to all who shared today with Jeremy, Jake and me. Don't forget to check out the latest photos.
